In our attempt to expand our circles of influence in the field of Social Justice, we connect with influencers through our Theatre Based Corporate Training workshops, to help sensitize and empower their employees as well as engage them in Team Building.
We run Theatre based workshops with corporates on themes ranging from self-empowerment to problem solving to Team Building, each one reinforcing our belief in Theatre as a powerful tool to bring teams together, raising the bar of emotional intelligence within the group.
Drama is effective in raising conversations in ways that are spontaneous and non-threatening. Theatre techniques train employees to assume different characters, conducts, and strategies for interacting with others, not just in their verbal behaviour, but in terms of bodily discipline and emotional relations.
Over the years, we have worked on team building with organizations through role plays and improvisational scenarios. A new tool for us is Playback Theatre, an improvisational form in which the participants tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot.
Team-building, sensitisation and empowerment through Playback Theatre
Playback Theatre allows the audience members to explore sensitive issues with empathy and non-judgement. It encourages people to express themselves and imbibe fresh perspectives by connecting with real-life experiences of others.
