Theatre for Change is a platform that encourages using Theatre and the Arts for advocacy, awareness, social engagement and empowerment.
Students from different schools, colleges and NGOs come together during this program and conceptualise interactive theatre performances on social issues relevant to them.
Theatre, Creative Visualization, Interactive Discussions and intense group work, helps the participants open up amazingly to one another, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust
Over the years, we’ve dealt with a variety of social issues ranging from institutional corruption to HIV/AIDS awareness, Community Responsibility, Right To Information, Infant Mortality, Gender Equality and more.

“Being a part of Yuva Ekta was possibly the most defining part of my school days. ‘Finding Me’ was an incredible journey that truly delivered what it promised: me finding myself. It taught me the meaning of social change and how the arts can be an influential way of making it happen.”

“Pooja affected me the most for I have noted a drastic change in her in the last few days. When she came on the first day she was so shy that she didn’t even want to give her introduction. She wouldn’t give a word, and was really shy in activities. But as we proceeded with the activities she started to interact a little. I could actually hear her voice her voice for the first time.”
